Targeting these kinases with specific inhibitors has become a promising therapeutic strategy, particularly in hormone receptor-positive breast cancer, and ongoing research continues to explore their role in other malignancies.
In many cancers, CDK4 and CDK6 are often overexpressed or hyperactivated, leading to uncontrolled cell proliferation.
