A protein that in humans is encoded by the LAMB3 gene.
LAMB3 is highly expressed in numerous tumorous and non-tumorous conditions, including renal fibrosis; squamous cell carcinoma of the skin, thyroid, lung, pancreatic, ovarian, colorectal, gastric, breast, cervical, nasopharyngeal, bladder, prostate cancers; and cholangiocarcinoma. Conversely, it is underexpressed in other conditions, such as hepatocellular carcinoma, epidermolysis bullosa, and amelogenesis imperfecta.
