Type:
NFAM1 (Neural Factor Activating Mast cells 1) is a protein that interacts with ITAM1 (Immunoreceptor Tyrosine-based Activation Motif 1). NFAM1 is a member of the Fc receptor gamma chain (FcRγ) family, which is a group of proteins that play a crucial role in the activation of immune cells, such as mast cells and basophils.
NFAM1 has been shown to be overexpressed in breast cancer tissues, particularly in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and HER2-positive breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), Leukemia, and Melanoma.
• Immune evasion: NFAM1 may help cancer cells evade the immune response by inhibiting the activation of immune cells, such as T cells and natural killer cells.
• Cell proliferation and survival: NFAM1 may promote cell proliferation and survival by activating signaling pathways that regulate cell growth and survival.
• Angiogenesis: NFAM1 may promote angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels, which is essential for tumor growth and metastasis.
