LIF, leukemia inhibitory factor: Click to Expand ⟱
Source:
Type:
(LIF) is a type of protein that plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and survival. It is a member of the interleukin-6 (IL-6) family of cytokines and is involved in the regulation of the immune system, inflammation, and hematopoiesis (the formation of blood cells).
LIF has been shown to promote tumor growth and metastasis, and to contribute to the development of cancer stem cells. Inhibiting LIF signaling may provide a novel approach to cancer therapy.
(LIF) is expressed in various types of cancer, and its expression has been associated with tumor progression, metastasis, and poor prognosis. (Ovarian, Leukemia, Melanoma, Glioblastoma, Colorectal, Prostrate).
