| Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) are a type of immune cell that plays a significant role in cancer progression and immune evasion. They are a heterogeneous group of cells that are characterized by their ability to suppress the immune response, particularly the activity of T cells. MDSCs are typically found in the tumor microenvironment and are thought to be recruited to the tumor site by various factors, including tumor-derived cytokines and chemokines.
